The SLOC lives in an underground missile silo, and has the ability to transmute into a pungent-smelling, slimy liquid form, oozing through the air conditioning system for fun at the weekends. Occasionally he ventures into the outside world by night to hunt & gather fine snax from the local delicatessen.
Andrew Milbank (Exxon) became interested in music at the end of the 80’s with bands like The Stone Roses and The Happy Mondays catching his imagination, from this he graduated through grunge with bands such as Nirvana & Mudhoney and onto old skool hardcore with the early releases by Acen, Ragga Twins and Krome & Time catching his ear.
Exxon began DJing in 1998 by which time he was fully focused on drum & bass, but it was only a move to Reading in 1999 and a meeting with Strike when Exxon was promoting nights at Reading University that led to him being introduced to all of the Streetbeats crew.
Since then he has gone on to co-promote the Streetbeats label nights Subversive, Beatjam and Advance as well as industry events at Cargo in London, has broadcast succesful internet radio shows on phuturefrequency.com and currently on jungletrain.net as well as DJing B2B with Strike and in his own right in the UK and Europe. Exxon has now moved in to label management with other members of Streetbeats to form the hotly anticipated Transmute Recordings.
